Yesterday we had a birthday party for my little sister. It's a tradition to have her bday party and a 4th of July BBQ together. But being me, i'm not into holidays so it really wasn't a fun day for me. So I decided to work because I didn't wanna be at the party with my family. My family isn't really great and I hate them and I hate spending time with time, so thats why i'm so "bleh" about holidays...just in case you didn't know. Tomorrow i'm leaving with my parents and sister to San Diego. I'm really excited to get away and just leave everything behind. I need a vacation! I've been busy with rehearsals everyday and work all the time that it is just time for me to skip away from all that for a couple days. I also have a lot of money put into my account because now i'm actually learning what the term "savings" is even though it's super hard. Haha. But i'm gonna be shopping like no other! So i'll be away for a couple days but if you have my cell #, feel free to call. I always have time for friends :-)

I'm watching BAMBI. This movie is so cute. I loved it when I was little. My sister bought the DVD. What is he anyways? A deer? A reindeer? Whatever he is, I want one just like Bambi. Bambi is so cute, and so is Thumper. Awww, I miss those characters. I've forgotten how good this movie is. It's so depressing though. Bambi, Finding Nemo, and Passion of the Christ...i'll never watch again cuz it's so depressing.

So, today I got to help out and play assistant for the Extreme Makeover Crew. I have a name now. Some of the guys and Constance call me "The Apprentice" and "Mr. Telephone Man" because i'm always on my cell phone talking and cuz i'm like an apprentice to everyone and I assist them. Michael and I were trying to do Donald Trump impersonations by saying "YOU'RE FIRED!" and Constance was just laughing at us. Everyone is so nice! I talked to Michael, Constance, and Ed a lot today. Ed's accent is so HOT! So tomorrow at 4:30 we start painting, which means i'm up at 3 a.m. How fun is that?! NOT MUCH! Haha. I'm so excited for tomorrow though. Yay! This marks Day #4 of Extreme Makeover and the weather sucks. This is the worst i've ever seen on Extreme Makeover. It's raining 24/7 and it's really amazing to think that through ALL this rain, these people keep building more and more! Ed told me that they're 3 hours behind.Painting time for me is almost here. The girls basketball team is gonna help too! Yay! Sina's on the varsity team (shes the one getting the makeover). I talked to Sina yesterday and they're on their way to the Bahamas. She says they went to Hawaii and it was soooo beautiful!

There's Ed, the British guy. Awesome accent. He better be careful using those power tools!

Oh my gosh, this is so rad. Extreme Makeover got here this morning at 8am to surprise my friends. It was SO great. I just came back from the site and I said goodbye to my friends cuz i'm not gonna see them till the 25th. They're going to Orland (Disneyworld) and a cruise to the Bahamas. How hot is that! My friends let me in the limo with them and it was so pimp! The producers had asked for people who knew the family and I raised my hand and they interviewed me about some ideas for the rooms, the house, and what they like. Sina is in love with basketball, and Josh loves tropical stuff and hawaiian stuff. I also got to meet the cast and they were all great (except Ty- asshole!). I talked to Constance for a couple minutes and she mentioned she needed help. So, i'm gonna be helping the workers...PAINT! How cool! I'm so excited. They were so cool! I'll have my before and after pics coming soon! :-D

A letter that was sent to Ashlee Simpson. Nope, I swear I didn't write this. But that President of HOPE is brilliant!

Dear Ashlee,

I guess by now you've heard of H.O.P.E. How couldn't you have? Your career, and the subsequent CD exchange we've offered to counter it as well as petition we’ve helped spear-head for Geffen to drop you (there’s been 300,000 signatures in the first week), has led to 5,000,000 hits on our website in the last month and coverage across the globe in every major news source including features on CNN, CNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, the BBC and in Rolling Stone, USA Today, People, The National Enquirer, and Newsweek. At the very least, I'm quite sure your "people" are aware of us. Nothing like having CAA and Time Warner breathing down my neck to make us realize that you, Ashlee, are only a small part of the problem.

Understand one thing Ashlee, we don't have anything against you personally... even with all of the lying and cover ups about everything from your "acid reflux" on SNL, to claiming it was only angry Oklahoma fans booing you off the stage at the Orange Bowl. We know you are simply the pawn in this scenario, with Geffen/AOL Time Warner shoving your music down everyone's throats, your stage father hijacking your child hood, and a whole litany of entertainment types who certainly should be taking a good share of the blame as well.

But things are getting ugly Ash. You've already been involved in the two most embarrassing moments in music I've seen in my lifetime, and are clearly becoming an international joke of historic proportions. This is no way to live a life. Here's the good news though: you're still young enough to get out and start over. You've gone on record as saying you never thought you had a good voice or that you could be a singer, so leaving now only confirms what you already believed. Instead of embarking on this disastrous new tour, tell the world this was all just a big mistake, quit the business, and go do the very normal things you were born to do.

Ashlee, your career is going to be over soon enough one way or the other. Even if Geffen and Time Warner continue to back you in the face of a public that demands you be gone, performers of your variety have a very short shelf life to begin with, let alone ones who have become a national laughing stock, have no musical ability, and are no longer profitable or commercially viable.

Take the high road, make a stand by telling the true story behind what went on with your career and why, and leave a business you never really wanted to get into in the first place. Show everyone that you're more than just a product and a puppet and 20 years from now, people will know Ashlee Simpson as a brave, classy, girl who stood up for her beliefs... not just as Jessica's lip-synching sister. For a girl portraying herself as "punk", let me tell you, that's as punk as you get.

And who knows, maybe one day you'll find a true love for music, hone your craft and go to an open mike night at some hole in the wall bar. Maybe when you get there you'll wait in a line like everyone else; with all of the people who have been scraping by and sacrificing just for the opportunity to make great music and do what they love. And maybe then you'll understand exactly why we are doing this and why a girl who never wanted to be a singer never really was one to begin with.

Well, it's not confirmed yet. But tomorrow i'm taking a huge step and asking Mickey to be my Valentine. I'm gonna see him tomorrow at Disneyland and hopefully he'll say yes! I'm hoping he will. And when/if he does, i'm gonna take a picture with him holding up a sign that says "I SAID YES"! How awesome is that? My Valentine is better than all of yours bitches! Haha.

Oh my gosh, this sickness just isn't going away. I've been throwing up so much, I feel like Mary Kate Olsen! My face is swollen from throwing up so much, I have purple dots all over my eyes and cheeks. It's like a REALLY gross case of freckles. I also have elections at school tomorrow for Winter Formal King and I don't wanna miss it. I'm gonna be so depressed if I get even worse. I've been waiting 4 this since Freshman year. I need a magic potion to cure me....like NOW! :(

So i'm here at home just kicking back. I'm sick. But luckily, it's not a BIG type of sick. I have a fever and I have that feeling that my head is going in circles. But, nothing serious. I'm totally glad too. Tomorrow i'm supposed to go to Disneyland with my family and my friends Christina and Erin. We'll see what happens. Okay, just called Christina and apparently, Erin quit Disneyland a couple days ago. So now, Christina can't get signed in. Haha, there goes that idea. Oh well, my family isn't that bad. Now i'm on a search for friends with Disneyland passes. Mine expires tomorrow, so we're gonna go re-new the passes. Yay! So, i'm pretty much stuck here for the day. But i'm happy cuz I just started feeling better. I promised my friend Susie i'd go to her party today. It sucks that I might miss it. My mom's at a party, and my dad's at another party. Grrrr!
